Election Drags out in Vancouver

The battle for Vancouver-Burrard is not over. Tim Stevenson, the NDP candidate is about to announce if he will be taking the election results to the Supreme Court to overturn the results.

Approximatly 60 ballots from one poll were not counted due to an error by Elections BC. Those ballots came from a poll deep in the centre of the riding, just wher Tim Stevenson was strongest. I suggest Lorne not get too comfortable in his seat!

It ain't over yet.

UPDATE: Stevenson has launched an appeal.

Stevenson launched a legal challenge of his provincial election loss. The margin of victory was 11 votes to Lorne Mayencourt after the judicial recount. Stevenson wants that result overturned by the B.C. Supreme Court and a new vote be held in the riding.
